Welcome to our 70th year of Shutter bugging. Yes, it seems astounding that our club has been around since 1954 and still thriving. WE CAN BOAST being the most creative and awe inspiring photographers on the Island. Just look at what we have done in this month’s image competitions. See the images featured in this issue starting on page 2.

We are coming to the beginning of month 2 of the camera club season, one that promises some significant achievements and successes. If you are not yet a member, it behooves you to consider joining us now. Come join in our success, we’ll help you become a better photographer and even showcase your images here in the monthly publication.

In that vein, I am offering a challenge to all our members. Create an image that depicts the origins of your name and I’ll publish it in the November issue of the Clix. Craft an image so it depicts your first or last name. For Example: the name of Miller, what does it represent? It might be a reference to an occupation. Email your entries to me and we will pick a winner and showcase the best of the lot. (arcud@yahoo.com)

Don’t forget to join us for our other events and get togethers. We do it 3x a month, and we want to see you and your images. We also want to help you become better photographers. Believe me when you get good advice and some helpful hints and tips your images will be winners. So, join us and participate in the enjoyment of the craft and the sharing experience.
